Our approach to connection
Soaring Connections was created to bring structure and clarity to the process of finding self-directed support. We believe that stronger connections are formed when both individuals and providers move forward with shared understanding and realistic expectations.
Our focus is to help individuals and guardians identify what matters most in their support relationships, and to help providers present their experience and approach clearly. This allows both sides to explore connection with purpose and confidence.
Our role in the connection process
Soaring Connections helps make the connection process more accessible and easier to navigate. We gather and organize information, develop clear profiles and create visibility for open connections. We guide the process so individuals, guardians and providers move forward with clarity and realistic expectations.
Individuals and guardians direct services and make final decisions. Providers determine their availability, scope and approach to support. Our role is to facilitate introductions and provide structure so both sides can begin with shared understanding.
Our hope is to support individuals and providers in forming intentional connections that lead to meaningful supports, stronger relationships and long-term stability.
Participation in the connection process does not require public visibility. Profiles are shared publicly only with approval.
Provider information and verification
When providers choose to pursue connection through Soaring Connections, we collect and review key information including provider number, resume and references. This review helps confirm provider status and allows us to develop a clear and informative profile.
The purpose of this step is to support safety and informed choice for individuals and guardians while ensuring providers are represented accurately and professionally within the connection process.
Verification is not an employment screening. It is a transparency measure designed to support thoughtful connection.

Individuals, guardians and providers may express interest in a connection. When interest is expressed, we share relevant information and facilitate an introduction. Introductions move forward based on the direction and consent of the individual or guardian.
Each step is designed to support informed choice, clarity and steady beginnings.
